I stumbled across this site and thought it would be a good forum to learn more about Hudson. My husband and I are originally from Montreal and Toronto, respectively, but currently live in Florida. We both want to return to Canada to raise our family, and we have Hudson high on our list. We are interested in learning more about the area schools and neighbourhoods, as well as any information/feedback on raising a family in the area. Hi everyone! Cant believe i found this site. I grew up in Hudson in the early 70's. I dont remember names very well but i'm looking for Pamela Dunn. I am hoping to hear from relatives of Joseph Albert and Regina [Gauthier]St Denis. The two families have lived in the Vaudreul and Lachine areas since the 1600s. I am doing a family tree and arranging a reunion to be held here in Thunder Bay this summer. Albert moved to Nakina Ont. to work as a lineman on the C.N.R.. Hello Hudson- I visited your lovely town with my husband, Robert JA Dancey. He enjoyed growing up in Hudson and shared many of his rememberances with me. For those of you that are still there, and remember Bob, he passed away on January 11, 2006 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, USA. If anyone would like to share some thoughts with me about Bob's years in Hudson, please do so. He will be missed by many.

I am looking for information regarding my family tree. Does anyone have any info on the Lafreniere family who were decendents of the Lois Andre Ducheny also spelled Duchesny (Born 1780 Died 1852) who married Josette Missinakoe? Josette was a native North American and came from Lake of Two Mountains. Would anyone know the tribal name of the Native North Americans that were from that area? Any information would be much appreciated.
