I have just been informed of this site by brother Bruce . . . and he was replying to Ian Hunter's message. Ian, you have raised old memories for me! Sadly about Chris Doehler, who was riding w my twin, Peter, on their way to visit me at MtAllison . . . I will always remember the sadness when Mr Doehler and Mr Stephenson came to MtA the following day . . . But then you talk about your relatives the Henshaws, and I remember the pool!! I believe I swam in that pool long before the pool was built at the Yacht Club!! And your family . . . I remember Philip and the Player's Club . . . Dad (George Johnson who is now 96 and living in "Extended Care North" at the Penticton Hospital) would have acted with your Mom . . . and I even remember cast parties at your home! Did you ever hear from people like Sandy MacDonald (I traded lunches w him in at Hudson Elementary), Michael Lamb (we used to go to their house to watch "Disney" and "Ed Sullivan" before we got our own TV), the Robinsons and Beauregards? And , of course, the Czapaly's - they first lived in that tiny house next to "Beauregards Store" - and we all fell in love with Mrs Czapaly - to this day my favorite treat chocolate bar is a "Cherry Bloosom" because she had one every recess . . . but I remember Mr Czapaly because he gave me my love for math - particularly geometry from that little green book!! I remember when we had to go to see Chief Pooley - he lived too close to us ( across from Varco's) - and we had made a "dummy" with a papier mache head we "borrowed" from Perry Bradbury and we put the dummy on the side of the road at night as if there had been a "hit and run" . . . . . don't tell your grand kids about this trick!! . . . and of course Pooley picked up the dummy one night and we had to get it back so we could return Mr Bradbury's art work . . . Yep fun times!! I will have to keep the 2003 reunion as a future plan but my wife (Chris) and I have a photo shop and our kids are spread to the four corners of the world (Japan - teaching English; Strasbourg - exchange through MtA; Toronto - trying to get in the Movie scene; and one here in Calgary), so I doubt if they'll be around to help w the shop during high season!! Thanks for the memories . . . it would be great to hear from anyone about the good 'ole times! Dave Johnson email: dgsjohnson@hotmail.com

boy, do i ever miss this place. Didn't really know how much until i found all these sites. Could also come down to getting older. Kind of makes me feel like moving back, but it's been a long time. I'm a chef/owner of a bistro here in toronto, and working hard. Tim Gittens walked into the place last year, and I've run into so many other hudsonites here in t.o. We should all get together sometime here at my restaurant....Riverside Cafe & Bar.
