I will be visting Hudson Heights in a few weeks and wondering if I will be able to find some of my cousins. My great great great great grandfather was John Thomas, Chief factor of Moose Fort and came to settle in Vaudreil and died there. One of his daughters was Eleanor Thomas my great great great grandmother who married Peter Foy in Vaudreil. If you are related or know someone one from that area I would be happy to speak to them while visiting Hudson Heights. Thanks

Hello Hudson, We have recently relocated to the Vaudreuil area and was wondering if there are any mother groups, activities for 2 year olds, or any other groups that would help us adjust and meet other people in the area. It has been a major change for us since we have moved from Calgary, AB. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please email me. Trina

I was just browsing through numerous email addresses to see if I recognized some of the names and oh SO MANY that I haven't the foggiest who they are. I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but the really fun times in Hudson were had by my classmates and those preceding us. The class of '59 and earlier, I know you agree with me. We're the youngest and in our 60's now, maybe we should have another reunion "while we can"....I'd love to make the trek across this vast land to meet up with our old croanies again. The reunion in '88 was terrific, this would be smaller but could be fun. Like I said, "while we can".....Drop a line and let me know what you think, Kathie Jephcott Warren.

In the summer of 1995 the we had a "Class of 1972 Turns 40 Reunion" and a great time was had by all! We thought we'd do a repeat in 2005 since we'll all be turning 50 (??) and thought we would like to include the years 1970 and 1971 (my husband Peter's years). If those were your years at HHS and you'd like to join us, please send me an email at pkf@canada.com If you have email addresses for any others from those years, please send them too! We look forward to hearing from you! Thanks Karen Cluett Frohloff

I'm looking for a hotel/inn the name of which I've forgotten. It's in the country-side around Hudson, not on the water-front, has a beautiful garden, is not Auberge des Gallant, but is in that category, or possibly more exclusive. It used to be in the tour guide of accomodations for the region, but has not appeared in latest versions. It's for a wedding reception, and I'm very anxious to find the place. Does anyone know anything about it? I would really appreciate any help in finding it....

Hello, I am trying to find information about my family history which is very vague. I am hoping the Historical Society might be able to help me. Any information you would be able to provide me with would be very helpful and appreciated! I believe my parents, and my aunt & uncle lived in Hudson and I am told my mother was hospitalized there as well (I have not been successful at finding the hospital). My mother, and grand-parents are buried in Hudson.
  • Father's name: Robert Freeston (1895 - ?)
  • Mother's name: Rose Ellen Freeston (formerly Day)(1893-1936)
  • Grandfather's name: William Altoft Day (1860-1937)
  • Grandmother's name: Elia Jane Donovan (1856-1939)
  • Aunt & Uncle: Kate & Earnest Day ( I believe they had a farm).
Thank you so much for your time and effort.
