Many things happened to me in Hudson....(life time changes) but a lot of time and water have passed under the bridge since then and my favourite spot to land is at the Willow Inn on our anniversary which we have done many times.... including this Friday coming.... Can anyone tell me if the stores (Legg's in particular!) will be open on Good Friday? When Curtis and I were married in Hudson nearly 25 years ago.... they weren't ... butlike I said... alot of time and water.... Hope to see some familiar faces this weekend!!! love to hear from you old friends!!! lol Susan xoxx

hello. my family moved to hudson in 1969. Left in 1973. I was in 2nd, 3rd & 4th grades. My brother Ted Gallagher graduated from HHS. My sister Jane Gallagher was in 8th or 9th grade when we moved. We lived across the street from Madam Mulette's (sp?) store. Anyone remember that? Great memories. Names I recall: Chris Heinrich, Alex Potter, Jennifer Urich (thought she was my girlfreind), Blair Mackay, Liz Bird, Mavis Martin, Helen Henshaw, Gordy deacon, John and Rob Stimpson, Peter MacIntyre(mush-head), Carl Ludwig, my dentist Dr. Nelligan who had no chin, Simon Marsh , Jonathan Marsh, "Bumpy", Ben's, broom ball marathons, Maryanne Gillis, Steven Ashfield and Ashfeild's swimming hole (closed after Anthony Aldridge died there), Bruce Clasy. Some of these names were freins of my older brother and sister. Anybody? Andrew Gallagher

What a surprise to come across this web page. In looking through the email addresses I came across several that I knew when I was a kid. My family moved to Hudson about 1954 and we left around 1964 and moved back into Montreal. That was probably one of the worst days of my life. I really enjoyed living there. Whenever I travel between Montreal and Ottawa, I always make it a point to detour through the village. What great memories. If anyone remembers me from those days gone by, I would love to hear from you.

What a surprise hearing about this site from one of the Cote Road folks - Martha Rattray. I lived in Hudson Heights from 1945-1966 and what memories. Our stripe on the Cote Road - Ritchie, Kingsland,Rattray, Franklin, Craig, Walsh, Chalmers, Davidson and Simon's Farm. Loved our visits to Ben's, bridge games at Habib's, golf games, Yacht Club dances, bashes at Como Inn, Gobi Desert. Have been in Smiths Falls 37 yrs and 2 daughters 36 & 32 now back close to Mom & Dad after 10 & 15 yrs in Toronto & London. Hubby retired and myself busy on golf boards, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Mother (Catherine) remember stomping down the hallways in those noisy shoes living in her own condo here in SF and going strong at 90 yrs. Visit Hudson or rather to me Hudson Heights atleast once a yr for a meal at the Willow Place and to say hi to Mike & Ronnie. Hope these reaches a few folks that remember me. All the best in 2004. Hi Hudson from Lynne Kiely class of '65. Can't believe there is a website just for Hudsoners. It was the best place to grow up. Laurel and I lived on Birch Hill 1961-1968. Since then I've lived in Ottawa, Calgary, Chicago, London U.K., and now Ancaster, Ontario but Hudson remains supreme. What a fabulous time we had in the sixties - yatch club dances, early morning tennis lessions, golf games and curling. Rember skateboarding (our pictures appeared in the weekend newsmagazine) and skating on the golf course frogpond. Laurel lives in Houston Tx. and has a boy 16 and a girl 12. I have a boy 28 and girl 33. But it seems like yesterday..... Lynne Kiely Bulger lynne.bulger@sympatico.ca

Have been researching my family history and decided to look up Hudson on the Internet. NOW I've never been so homesick. I loved Hudson and Hudson Heights. My family and I lived there between 1940 and 1962. I went to HHS until I failed grade ten and my father kicked me out of school and sent me to Macdonald!!!! I'll never forget that first football game when Mac came to Hudson and we lost. All my bosum friends played for Hudson and I played for Mac. After the game,I ran across the fields to my home crying my heart out. Unfortunately my parents Walter and Isabel needed nursing home care so I placed them in Ormstown where there was availability. I married Betty Forrester of Ormstown, moved to Ontario and raised two kids. Divorced, retired and moved to Knowlton, Que. two years ago. Now after reading about everyone I realized how much I loved and missed Hudson too!
