Hello Hudsonites. What a thrill to find this site. I graduated in 1960. If anyone out there remembers that far back please say hello. I've lived in BC since 1972. My wife Sandy and I celebrate our 37th this June. Have one son Dave and two grandkids, Terri 13 and David 10. So many fond memories of Ben's, HHS football, Gobi desert, Como INN etc.If there is a reunion coming up let me know. Regards from BC.

Hello all...stumbled across this site and took a walk down memory lane. I have a question, and I hope someone might know the answer or might know where I can find the answer. The class of '91 is having their 10 year reunion this summer and I was wondering if any of you know the dates and details about it or can put me in the direction to find the answers. Thanxs! Please send replys to my address stina@kcrysdesigns.com

Donna Milkman, Marilyn Kelsey, Ian Walker, Joe Atyeo (I heard from Cathy Mr. Atyeo!)...the list just continues to grow! I have connected with many former Hudsonites through this site and love to read the new messages every few weeks or so. Mrs. Peyton, is it possible that you were my grade 1 teacher? While looking at another Hudson site today I saw myself in an historic photo under Hudson Yacht Club...scarey...very scarey!! Every time I come here I just want to go back! I hear there is another HHS reunion in 2003?, where do I obtain details, I'd love to go this time. The best to all of you! Maureen Grisdale (Blackler)

My mother sent me an e-mail about the upcoming HHS reunion in 2003. I came across this site, It's great. Boy it sure does bring back a lot of memories, All those places we used to go. Ben's restaurant, Someone should write a song. That's where it all started. Eddy Benson told me I should go out west and work for his cousin for the summer. Before I knew it, here I was, I was just going for the summer. WELL what a summer it has been. It's been 23 years. Edmonton is my home now, but Hudson will always be in my heart. I was back for a visit in September of 1999, with my two teenage daughters. showed them some of the sights. You know, the ones, you show your kids. Hope to get in touch with some old friends.

No one realises what you have until you don't have it anymore. When I finally realised how great Hudson was I moved back. I've been living in Australia, Belguim and France but there is no place like here to raise a family. Now I'm trying to track down the CLASS OF 83 for the HHS reunion in August 2003 to try and get everyone back to share their stories. If you are a grad or long time HHS student that would have graduated in 83 please contact me at oakland105@yahoo.ca or register at the Hudson.village.com site under reunion. I hope to see you all at the reunion!

The news of this site came to me via Mary-Louise Walsh Robinson in Ottawa, and Donna Milkman Howard in Smiths Falls Ontario! So to Harold Kerr and Maureen Grisdale of my year who already wrote on this site - Hi from Calgary. In Calgary I have often run into several McAslans, and Sue White (Petch. My parents both live in Sidney, BC now as does Mrs. Houston. Brian is in Edmonton with 2 kids, and Murray is in Halifax also with 2 kids. I have three - two in university and one at home. I will pass on the news of this site to them. And no, we Albertans are not separtists as carried by the Globe. We are Canadians with noisy Canadian Alliance members out and about!! Take care. marilyn (Kelse)

Finally took time the other day to read some of the messages. So many names I remember vividly - and what fun to get somewhat caught up with the past many years!I'm still in Hudson, in the same house and would love to hear from my former students. Most of my time the past few years has been involved working (as a volunteer) at Greenwood - see our web site which my granddaughter, Stephanie Bourque, did for us. Also if you're in Hudson in the summer come and visit us any Sunday - we also serve tea! I'm off to Hawaii in about 10 days and will be back mid-April. My e-mail here is suspended during that time and I'm not on e-mail there. Hope to hear from any HHS people.

Wondering if anyone knows the where abouts of Shephen Phillips, we went to Mt. Pleasant Elementary School together around 1969-I moved to London Ont. in 1974. I have lots of fond memories of the HYC, hockey on outdoor ice, Bens, and the small town atmosphere of Hudson. Doug

Here I am surfing the web trying to find the street address of St. James Church and what do I come across: not just a listing of Hudsonite emails (amny of whom I recognize from the 60's at HHS) but also letters from y'all wherever you may be! When I have a little more time I will read further and do want to contact old friends like Maureen Grisdale (often wondered where you went after Compton!), Lee White (I miss having Stephanie in swim lessons at HYC with your boys!)and others! To catch you up briefly: I went to UNB after HHS, graduated in languages 1975, did some post-grad work and then went into teaching French and German for awhile inbetween kids! (Yeah, I know...like mother, like daughter!) I married Pat Bourque from Fredericton, N.B. in 1980 and we have two girls: Jennifer (born 1982 and in first year Mount Allison University), Stephanie (born 1985 and in Grade 11 at a private R.C. high school in Slidell, Louisiana, just 30 miles east of New Orleans. We were transferred here with Procter & Gamble last July from McKinney, Texas where we spent three years, My husband runs the Folger's Coffee plant in east N.O. We expect to be here about 4-5 years so if anyone is thinking of a visit (at Mardi Gras or any other time), so let us know. My mother, Marg Peyton, whom many of you had for NAL, Latin, History or Economics is in her same house on the Main Road (Como part)and just celebrated her 75th birthday with a party! She goes annually to bask in the sun and sand of Waikiki Beach for about two months every winter. She is active in the Greenwood Living History Museum (a family home)as well as the Hudson Historical Society. Apparently the new HHS Reunion committee has contacted her for advice on the next one-see the Hudson web-site for more details. More later-take care and a Happy New Year 2001 to all my old friends who read this! Kathie (Peyton) Bourque

Just found this site and had to laugh when I saw some of the names, sites and events that haven't crossed my mind for ages. Greetings to all hudsoners. The McAslans are spread from vancouver to Paris with concentrations in Calgary and Halifax. "Far out Forbes" and "Right on Ruth" are alive and well in Dartmouth N.S. Lynn is in Halifax with husband and 4 kids, Dale in Vancouver, Leslie in Paris with husband and 2 kids, Janet and Joan in Calgary. Joan has one 6yr.old boy. I have been living in the Calgary area for 25 years, the last 12 in Okotoks, a small town about 30 kms south. It reminds me a bit of Hudson. I've been married for almost 24 years and have 2 kids. Sean just turned 21 and Chelsea almost 12. Loved to hear where people are and what they are up to. Pass on the word and lets see if we can others to update us. Rick Acres made me laugh at the memory of the stags that "happened" . Pit parties, the Pink Pussy, and general misbehavior at them and others like Belle Plage. What a riot. Keep in touch or feel free to contact me directly. Harold Kerr...My wife is from Kenora where we spend several weeks every summer. Scot Gammage lives there and I see him most years.

Hi Hudson - Glad to see Alan B is back in Mississippi again this week. We have been enjoying the beautiful resort. So much to do and see, although the weather isn't quite what it should be for this time of year, but we are still having a great time. Take care Hudson, see you soon.

Hello Hudson - Hope you all had a Happy New Year! AB is here in Mississippi. This resort is out of this world. I'm sure he'll tell you all about it when he returns. Have any of you been to Biloxi before? It's not as nice as Hudson, but it's a fun city.

Someday, I'll get it right. Sorry. Once you've seen your art work by following the links suggested on the previous messages, on top of page, click on COMMUNITY which will take you to NAGAZINE. Click on it and then, read all about yourselves at ROGERS KIDS. Worth the detour.

Sorry, omitted. By clicking on my name, you'll be taken to an art exhibition by OUR LOCAL KIDS, then, on the same page, go to MAGAZINE and go to ROGER'S KIDS. Read all about Hudson, its youths, the elderlys and the in between. Enjoy.

A fream fulfilled, retiring in Hudson. Reading these messages, I can understand whu so many miss it, except for the one who says you need a gun to walk the streets. See images of young Hudsonites at: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=30847&a=9834542 you'll see that, yes, like when any teens have no goals or challenges, some do wild things. Does'nt have to be that way. Watch these pages. I'll show you more hidden facts of Hudson.

This continues to be an interesting site, as we catch up with our friends from Hudson. Pargie and I continue to live "happily ever after" here in northwestern Ontario, with alot of side trips to Winnipeg and Montreal. Hey Frasier, remember my dad and the Hudson bears? he used to call you Frosty as I recall...geez seems like eons ago. What ever happened to Kelsey, Melkman,Quinn and all the other Ben's regulars ? Take care to all and have a happy new year. Pargie Chuckwagon and Harold Kerr
