Village Theatre

Year round professional and community theatre in Hudson, Quebec

Village Theatre mounts a professional summer theatre season consisting of four shows every summer and produces, purchases or rents out its facilities for professional and community shows the rest of the year.

The company was founded by Heather Markgraf-Lowe in a tent behind Mon Village restaurant in St. Lazare near Hudson, Quebec. After several years of increasing audiences and ever higher quality shows, she founded a non-profit company, Village Theatre West, to take over the operation and move to the old Hudson Railway Station. The station was abandoned at the time but was renovated with funds raised mainly from the community. Today Village Theatre is operated by a volunteer board of directors and paid staff.

Village Theatre can be reached at (450) 458-5361 with more information available at its website at http://villagetheatre.ca.
