Theatre Panache

New Canadian Work and Theatre Classes in Hudson, Quebec

Theatre Panache was founded by Heather Markgraf-Lowe in 2005 to find, produce and tour new Canadian works. The company's first project was to produce and tour the new Canadian musical play, "Till We Meet Again" by David Langlois, a radio show set in Montreal during World War II. The show toured the Toronto area and ran for two weeks at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. In 2006, the company re-mounted "Till We Meet Again" in Montreal and also produced "Brigit's Reel" by Trish Barclay and Marc Desormeaux at Centaur Theatre in Montreal. The company will re-mount "Brigit's Reel" at the Piggery in the Eastern Townships during the summer of 2007 and is looking for additional dates for that production.

Based in Hudson, the company also operates a studio there which offers several levels of training in theatre. Graduates of the training program can go on to work as actors, training customs officers at the nearby Customs and Excise Training College. Courses last for ten weeks starting in January and September.

Theatre Panache can be reached at (450) 458-5281, at 716 Main Road, Hudson, QC J0P 1H0 and at heather@north46.com.
