Riversmead Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic Henshaw house on a large estate stretching from Main Road, Hudson to the old Ottawa highway west of Montreal. The Bed and Breakfast is run by Helen Henshaw who also operates the Henshaw maple sugarbush where she makes her own maple syrup.
The Bed and Breakfast has four bedrooms upstairs, and downstairs are a large dining room, a country kitchen, a large living room, a porch overlooking the swimming pool and an additional bedroom.
The house was built by Helen's great great grandfather, Captain R. W. Shepherd who was a steamboat captain of the Montreal-Ottawa steamship lines. Many of the rooms are furnished with period pieces and family heirlooms.
Helen serves a full Canadian breakfast with her own maple syrup and the bed and breakfast is close to several excellent Hudson restaurants, the Hudson Village Theatre, Hudson nature trails and Hudson shops and boutiques.
