Owned by an old Hudson family which also ran the Oka Ferry, Restaurant Clementine was situated in Oka for many years and while there and subsequent to its move to Main Road in Hudson it regularly won awards as one of the best French restaurants in Quebec. The owners retired in 2006 and new owners Marie Couture et Karim Belhouala have kept the traditional decor of the restaurant essentially unchanged but are moving towards a more varied menu with emphasis on Mediterranean components and international dishes with an emphasis on using local, fresh ingredients.
The retaurant is open for lunch and dinner Tuesdays through Saturdays and offers a varied Table d'Hote starting in the mid twenties. A recently sampled menu included lobster bisque, clam chowder, a salmon "taster", braised lamb and rack of lamb, deer and filet mignon. There is private parking at the rear of the retaurant.
