La Muse Galerie d'Art

Shows and Offers the Work of Quebec Artists in Hudson, Quebec

The original gallery was founded in the Magdaleine Islands in the Gulf of St. Lawrence in 1993 by Mona Awad and Daniel Gautier under the name of Le Havre Atelier-Galerie in the historic La Grave site. They were successful in atracting a large number and variety of Quebec artists and became closely involved in the custural and artistic life of the islands, participating in and leading a number of initiatives for exhibitions on the islands and collaborations involving local artists.

In 2005 Mona Awad decided to return to the Montreal area and settled on Hudson as the site of her new gallery, the La Muse Galerie d'Art. She was able to bring with her the works of the artists which she continues to represent and which include Daniel Gautier, Elyse Turbide, Jean Gaudet, Sarah Bronsard, Serge Dupreuil, Dominic Lefrançois and Solange Villeneuve.

The La Muse Galerie d'Art is located at 455 Main Road and can be reached (450) 458-1895. Opening hours are 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment on other days by calling (450) 458-7984. Additional information is available on their website at La Muse Galerie d'Art .
