Avery of Awes has been designing and craftung vintage furniture and other art pieces with a vintage influence for over 20 years and since 2005 he has been offering his work from a store on Cameron Avenue in Hudson. Furniture often has a country theme or a "fifties" influence and is always fun and whimsical while not sacrificing functionality.
In addition to furniture of more standard functionality, Avery has designed and built a whole collection of pet beds, each with a different theme and design. Some are based on traditional beds but there are also pool tables, sardine cans, pedestals and other fun themes. Complementing the beds is a line of "elevated feeders" which consist of food bowls on litle desks or pedestals, "...for your pet’s comfort and your sense of style..."
Rounding out the items at the store are carved animals, themed clocks and mirrors and one-of-a-kind vintage and antique items. The store itself is worth a visit as it is decorated in keeping with the eclectic collections it contains.
